JusticeTrax is pleased to announce the dates for the 2017 User Group Meeting!
At UGM 2017, we will continue to emphasize the importance of our Customer Presentations highlighting many of the ways LIMS-plus is being use to its potential. Therefore, we encourage you to consider submitting a topic to present at this year’s meeting. Last year, we were overwhelmed by the response and unfortunately had to turn down a few presentations, so please submit your abstract early.
The deadline to submit your presentation abstract is Friday, July 28, 2017. This deadline allows us to publish an agenda early for those attendees who need it to secure conference attendance approval.
For more information, please contact Mary Cook: Mary.Cook@justicetrax.com or 480-222-8921.
Registration for the UGM and the Crystal Reports Training class will open soon.

While there are numerous resources available for lab personnel to learn Crystal Reports including local universities, online classes and message boards, only a class offered by JusticeTrax can include LIMS-plus examples and LIMS-plus data. We are excited to offer a Crystal Reports Class in conjunction with this year’s UGM. This hands-on course, taught by Implementation Specialists Jenna Oakes-Smith and Brittany Cange, will help LIMS admins and designated reps to create, edit and troubleshoot Crystal Report templates that are needed to optimize their LIMS-plus system and ultimately their LIMS-plus experience. This class will use both the LIMS-plus v3 and the LIMS-plus v5 data structures and will teach you:
- The tables most often needed for reporting and how to link them
- How to connect custom information (from DUIs or Data Extension Forms) to basic case data
- Example solutions to the most commonly asked report questions
- How to edit a report to present a similar dataset in a different way
- Common troubleshooting steps to diagnose and correct report errors
There are no prerequisites for this class; however, your instructors will assume that everyone will have some basic knowledge in Crystal Reports, including the ability to navigate the start and design tab workspace. There will be discussions of the basic functionality of the 5 sections of a report.
All computers, data and software will be supplied. Participants only need to bring their questions and their open minds.
Email Mary.Cook@justicetrax.com to hold your place for the class.
“Hope I get to come again next year. I enjoy meeting and interacting with the JT staff.”
“Keep up the good work. There is a lot of pressure to “move to a more modern” LIMS system in the lab. v3.8 moves a good way toward demonstrating those modern features in our existing system.”
“Incredible work done with v3.8. It’s really exciting to see the direction in which the LIMS-plus products are heading. Looking forward to the new enhancements to v5.”
“I have been to numerous conferences over my 22 years and this one was very well thought out and professional. Having a theme put that extra touch to show you care about your customer’s experience.”
“As this was my first UGM, I was happily surprised at how involved and passionate Simon is. He’s not a president that’s waiting for his people to perform – he’s in the trenches with them.”
“Excited about the release of JTHub/Tray and eagerly awaiting it for our lab. Even though we’re v5, I still have to update Java on a per machine basis as monthly browser updates interrupt barcode printing.”
